- In 1890 two new District stations were opened. These were at Huyton, Derby Road [next to Infants school close to Huyton La] where a manual engine and a hand drawn hose cart were stationed and at Aigburth Vale, Irwell Lane [a converted Smithy] where there was a Reel cart.
